--Although perhaps "lightly researched", at the time of writing, I did library and online searches and the book has a bibliography.  There's not that much relevant out there.

  --I did note that I didn't know what chicken mash is, but maybe you do.  It was mentioned in my research.  I do say what I use and has worked for me (table scraps & things you probably have around).
